Warragul Western Ring Main Stage 1

This project involved the installation of a DN 560 PE water main over a distance of 4.3 km, designed to significantly enhance the local water supply system. The project is notable for its complexity and scale, featuring Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) in most sections to minimize surface disruption and maintain the integrity of the surrounding environment. This method allows for efficient installation while reducing the need for extensive excavation. Close coordination with multiple authorities, including CHMP (Cultural Heritage Management Plan), DWELP (Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning) for the freeway reserve, Hazel Creek Catchment Authority, and APA Transmission, has been critical to ensuring compliance and environmental stewardship. The project included trenching, precise pipe laying, and rigorous testing to meet all relevant standards and regulations.

Our proactive engagement with local residents and stakeholders has been a key focus, ensuring minimal disruption during construction while keeping the community informed. This project exemplifies Land Engineering’s dedication to delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions that effectively address community needs.
