Ballarto Road Skye Water Main Upgrade
As part of the ongoing expansion of Ballarto Road under the MRPV projects, it was identified that the existing water infrastructure required urgent upgrades due to standard cover issues. In response to this need, MRPV requested South East Water (SEW) to expedite the water main upgrade works. SEW selected Land Engineering among other contractors to deliver this critical project, which involves the installation of a new DN 180 PE – 240 water main. The works include 200 meters of horizontal directional drilling (HDD) and 40 meters of open trench excavation.

Description:
– Pipeline Installation: Installation of DN 180 PE pipeline over a length of 240m.
– Temporary Water Supply: Provision of temporary water supply to affected customers to ensure uninterrupted service during construction.
– Asbestos Handling: Specialized handling and disposal of asbestos in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.
– Valves & Fittings Installation: Installation of necessary valves and fittings to control flow and facilitate maintenance.
– Water Testing & Commissioning: Testing and commissioning of the new pipeline system as per WSA 03-2011-3.1 standards to ensure compliance and performance.
